Mountain Jam
You gotta be phuqing kidding me! A Mountain Jam hors d'oeuvre at the Alligator tail. Just before the 6-minute mark. Tasty!

Phurthurtastic!
Have been seeing Furthur since the begining. Multiple venues, multiple states. Love Phil and don't begrudge his singing one bit. That being said, I really enjoyed hearing John take the vocals on Eyes. I also was fortunate to hear him sing it again in San Diego and was glad I did because it was one of the finest I have heard them play. Get ahold of it if you can!

they never seem to disappoint me
Thank you for posting such a fine show the show is great and the quality of the sound is great espically for an outdoor show. I do wish i was there, but i a glad that I am able to hear it. Red rocks is one of my favorite places to see a dead or a further show, I have been there numerous times in the 80's. If you ever get a chance go, You wont be disappointed.

Thank you for the EYES...
Love Phil, he's the man...
In my opinion, I prefer Phil just doing what he does best. JK is pretty darn good on the lead vocals for Eyes.
Believe me, I am thrilled all these guys are out there pushing it (and sounding great doing it). However... Somehow... I'd love to also see the driver keys for one of these tunes land in JK's lap as well: Franklins, Bird Song, FOTD, Loose Lucy. To me, the whole band sounds better. Or even the alternating between Tennesse Jed, Touch of Grey, GDTRFB, Dark Star, etc. These great tunes lose consistency. Now perhaps I am just being too picky.
I will just go back to being very grateful for the EYES given on this night.
*Pretty nice pull taper.

Sometimes the songs that we hear are just songs of our own
Thanks for this beautiful recording, almost puts me "there". Very happy to hear JK take the lead vocals on Eyes -- they add brightness to the song and makes the transitions between jams and verses so smooth. And Jeff Chimenti and Joe Russo just keep on giving . . . marvelous stuff boyz.

The finest band in the land!
I was at this show and I can honestly say that after seeing the boys play for 30 years - I was blown away. One of my all time favorite gigs. Operator?! You Win Again?! Easy Wind?! Caution?! First time I'd ever seen them do any of those gems. And weaving Viola throughout the second set was icing on the cake, not to mention the crafty steal your face theme... Kick back, take a load off and enjoy this show.

Wow, what a show, and what an excellent recording! Patrick, much thanks for doing a great job with the recording (and getting it posted so fast). Last night was my wife's first time at Red Rocks and first time seeing any member of the Dead, so every time we listen to this recording it'll be choc full o' good memories & good time.
Hearty Regards,
